On a recent ITV drama, transcoded media supplied by the DIT was copied onto a Coach House Media Sync XL at the production office. From there it synced automatically, both ways, over our secure VPN network with each remote editor's and assistant's own Coach House Media Sync box, across the UK and Europe, throughout the shoot.
For the fine cut, a Coach House Media Gateway synced media both ways between the network and Avid NEXIS shared storage at the post-production facility in London, so editing carried on at the facility with zero downtime.
